Lake Tahoe – May, 11, 2006 – In an effort to promote national Bike to Work Week, May 15 – 19, 2006, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is competing against fellow Basin agencies in the Lake Lapper Challenge – a week-long event to see which agency can ride the most cumulative miles to work throughout the week. Agencies participating in the bike challenge include the California Tahoe Conservancy, City of South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, Gary Davis Group, Incline Village General Improvement District, Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board, North Tahoe Public Utility District, South Lake Tahoe Public Utility District, South Tahoe Refuse, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and the USFS Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
